    I love these tips! I would love to know how you trained yourself to go to sleep and wake up earlier. I currently wake up between 5:30-6:00am, but I would like to make that about an hour earlier so that I can have “me” time (I have to be at work by 7am). I have tried many different techniques, but so far I cannot seem to make it stick for more than a couple of days.

      Ooh see thats something I’ve always wanted to try! I will often burn lavender incense to help me relax before bed. I just think I put too much pressure on myself to fall asleep. I need to break that habit.

      I completely understand! I put both of the mentioned EOs on the bottom of my feet then put on a pair of socks.

      Make a bedtime routine, for example; I shut off all electronics 2 hours before bed time and this includes putting my cell into do not disturb mode, shower or do PM yoga, play sleep music, low lights/candles, breathing exercises to relax and get your mind to slow down, & aromatherapy. I use fake candles, the ones that run on batteries so I can relax and fall asleep with them on a timer and not worry about the house burning down!

      Erin, I don’t know if this helps, but I read somewhere that you can train yourself to get up earlier by putting the alarm 10 minutes earlier (i.e 5:20). Once you get used to that time, put it 10 minutes earlier again (i.e. 5:10) until you go back to whatever time you want to wake up. Or you can do it faster consecutively reducing 10 minutes each day. If that makes sense…

      kristen robin try setting an alarm for bedtime, sounds strange but we set reminders and alarms for meetings or events, so why not for bedtime

      kristen robin I worked graveyards for years and went to days and I switched my routine in just a few days I just stayed up a whole day like 24 hours I pulled an all nighter (in my case all-dayer) and by the time I needed to go to sleep I was SO ready and yes the next day is hard to wake up to but if u just force yourself to make it through you’ll be good and you’ll go to bed early and it works and fast too

    I started my business a year ago, and yeah, it definitely would have been helpful to know all of this then :p But I’ve adjusted, created a schedule, and rented an office. I couldn’t manage working from home, unfortunately. I went absolutely stir crazy. For me, the key to success was getting out of the damn house. I’m 2x as productive now as I was last year.
